At the University of Bath, I am a Gold Scholar; as a gold Scholar, I must complete 50 hours of volunteering, fundraising, or outreach a year and attend personal development, networking, and skills training sessions throughout each year I am at the university.
At university I have also been able to take part in ReadyTraderGo, a student coding competition that dives into the world of algorithmic trading, working in a group of three, my role being data analyst, and Leadership 123, a course offered by Coaching Focus to enhance my leadership skills and ready me for the cooperate world
I have actively contributed to my local community by organizing and facilitating coding workshops specifically designed for female secondary school students. Through these workshops, I have empowered and mentored aspiring coders, teaching them the fundamentals of Python programming. Our efforts were recognized and rewarded when our project received the prestigious 'Outstanding Contribution to the Local Community' Award at The SU, University of Bath Awards. This recognition further motivates me to continue making a positive impact through education and community engagement!
During my time in university, I studied R as part of my introduction to data science. I have become proficient in using R for data science tasks and writing R Markdown files. Additionally, I learned Python while in school, and it has become my most proficient programming language. Currently, I am expanding my knowledge of using Python specifically for data science purposes.
My A* grade in product design at A-level showcases my strong creativity and innovative thinking. This background in design has honed my ability to think outside the box and come up with unique solutions. Furthermore, my experience in mathematical modeling further highlights my problem-solving creativity. Through mathematical modeling, I have developed the skills to approach complex problems from different angles and find creative solutions.
